Saxophonist Lawrence Clark is one of the pillars of the New York jazz scene. Ten years alongside Rashied Ali, sideman to Jeremy Pelt, Ralph Peterson and Reggie Workman — this is someone who’s no stranger to major stages and international festivals.

With his quintet, made up of top-tier musicians, he explores an open form of post-bop in the lineage of Miles Davis’ second quintet, where improvisation becomes something alive — almost organic. Music that moves, breathes, and relies as much on collective interplay as it does on individual virtuosity.
