A longtime collaborator of Paul Motian, Charlie Haden, Bill Frisell, Brian Blade and Kurt Rosenwinkel, Chris Cheek has long established himself as a major voice in contemporary saxophone. Lyrical, subtle and adventurous, his playing is defined by listening, melody and space — music that breathes.
Antoine Pierre is one of the most exciting drummers on the European jazz scene today. Leading his own projects — Urbex, Next.ape and his solo project Vaague — he has built a remarkable reputation as both a bandleader and composer. Already performing alongside guitar legend Philip Catherine at just 17, he has since shared the stage with Joshua Redman, Enrico Pieranunzi, Jean-Paul Estievenart, Or Bareket and Jure Pukl. Melodic, curious and endlessly creative, he is as much a sound architect as he is a masterful accompanist.
