Thomas Champagne (saxophone) and Guillaume Vierset (guitar) share the stage for a special meeting driven by long-standing musical complicity and a taste for exploration. Playing together for over 15 years in the Thomas Champagne Random House quintet and the children’s project GribouJazz, the two musicians take clear pleasure in diving into the colors, surprises, and playful madness of jazz.
To launch the “Strange Meeting” series, initiated at the iconic Liège jazz club l’An Vert, Thomas and Guillaume invite well-known figures from the Liège jazz scene. Joined by Nicolas Puma on double bass and Basile Peuvion on drums, the quartet offers a refined blend of original compositions and post-bop standards, balancing energy, lyricism, and freedom.
