Marek Patrman is one of the most discreet drummers on the Brussels jazz scene, yet every musician who crosses his path wonders why. Gifted with an instant connection to every soloist he accompanies, his drumming seems to nourish the improvisers’ dialogue with the mastery of a top chef adding just the right touch to transform a dish. A longtime member of the great Erik Vermeulen’s trio, he will tonight be joined by Belgium’s most talented pianist, Bram De Looze, and Slovenian bassist Robert Jukic, who has established himself as one of the most solid and dependable figures on the Belgian jazz scene since his arrival in the capital a few years ago.
