Jim Snidero (alto sax) ; Bruno Montron (piano) ; Doug Weiss (upright bass) ; Rick Hollander (drums)
It is a real privilege to welcome Jim Snidero to Toots. A Grammy Award winner and ranked amongst the top five alto saxophonists by the prestigious magazine *Downbeat*, he has established himself as a leading figure in contemporary jazz.
Based in New York since the early 1980s, his career commands great respect. He cut his teeth alongside the legendary organist Brother Jack McDuff, before collaborating with the Mingus Big Band and Eddie Palmieri, and accompanying icons such as Frank Sinatra and Sting. As a bandleader, he has released no fewer than 27 albums. Among them is the memorable *Live at the Deer Head Inn*, which caused a sensation in 2009 and showcases the virtuosity and purity of sound regularly praised by the international press (The Guardian, Stereophile).
This concert is an absolutely unique occasion, as it marks the very first time the public will have the opportunity to hear Jim Snidero in Brussels.
Hosting such an international star, no stranger to world tours, in the intimate setting of our 75-seat club on the Grand-Place is a rare treat. It promises to be a great jazz experience, up close with the musicians, without the trappings of large venues.
