Although they collaborated on *Kind of Blue*, the greatest success in the history of jazz, one would not instinctively associate Cannonball Adderley’s straight-ahead style with Bill Evans’s almost romantic swing. And yet! The pianist featured on two of the saxophonist’s recordings in 1958, and they teamed up again in 1962 for the legendary album *Know What I Mean?*.

Natural partners, sharing a taste for impeccably constructed melodic lines and the mellow sound of chamber jazz, Pascal Mohy and Ben Sluijs come together here to pay tribute to two of their heroes.
