Mayo Hubert is one of the great masters of gypsy guitar. A pupil and heir of Tchavolo Schmitt, he stands out as a brilliant soloist – a true force to be reckoned with. He joins us to open our first gypsy jazz evening of the season: a real pleasure to welcome him as he recreates the atmosphere of the Parisian Hot Clubs of the 1940s, keeping alive, with undiminished passion and enthusiasm, the spirit of the great Django Reinhardt.
