Based in Paris for many years, David De Vrieze remains one of the most active figures on the Belgian scene, notably as a long-standing member of the Jazz Station Big Band and a highly sought-after sideman. Tonight, he steps forward as a leader and surrounds himself with the young guard of French jazz for a truly exciting evening. The instrumentation — vibraphone, alto saxophone and trombone — is anything but ordinary, driven by a top-tier rhythm section that promises a concert as surprising as it is inspiring.
